The Earth will move when Bachateros from around the World descend on Christchurch
Bachateros Online Magazine will be represented at the New Zealand Bachata Festival being hosted in the City of Christchurch over the weekend of 31 August – 2 September 2012.
Co-Directors Nirico Mambo and Petera Hudson aka Papa P of World Salsa Tours say that the inaugural New Zealand Bachata Fesitival is an encyclopedia of “who’s who” in the World of Bachata.
Juan Ruiz will lead the Bachateros Adventure across the Tasman to New Zealand. Travelling with Juan to the Garden City includes the current ACEKI World Bachata Champions and the New Zealand Bachata Festival Ambassador in Australia – Nestor Manuelian and Katrina Quintal.
Thirty-four (34) Australian bachata instructors and performers will grace the dance floors of New Zealand Bachata Festival. Five (5) States are represented in the Australian Team including
- From Melbourne representing the State of Victoria – Lisa Madeira & Andrew Meszaros and Leonardo Quiroz with his Bachata Inc Dance Team
- From the Adeliade representing the State of South Australia – Kevin Malpas & Chelsea Mount
- From the Country’s Capital City, Canberra, representing the State of ACT – Ben Brillante and Djikic with their Salsasabor Bachata Con Sabor Men Shines Team
- From Brisbane representing the State of Queensland – Elli Torres
- From Sydney representing the Sate of New South Wales – ACEKI World Bachata Champions: Nestor and Katrina; Australian Salsa Champions 2012: Mitch Bilic & Ellicia McDonald, Australian Latin Open Champion 2012: Csaba Szirmai, Australia’s Mr Bachata – Juan Ruiz, Nola Komis & Alberto with their Touch of Salsa Dance Team, Christian & Anne, Sky Blue and Pascale Dernocoure.
Joining the Australian Bachateros from across the Pacific at the New Zealand Bachata Festival:
