I recently attended the Doudoule Latin Dance camp, on the Gold Coast, QLD Australia. The event was great! Thumbs up for the entire weekend!
I performed 2 different Bachata routines on the weekend. But what I liked about it is that each routines had a completely different feeling from each other! People really enjoyed when they saw the contrast between both performances, and how you can have a very sexy & close Bachata show, but later on, have a strong & passionate Bachata show as well!
Here are the videos. Which one do you prefer? I like them both! :). As a dancer, I want to show different aspect of my dancing, rather than just one.
SEXY BACHATA PERFORMANCE WITH JOSIE
We focused a lot on the connection between us! As you can see, there is a lot of close movement and sexiness in this one!
HOT BACHATA PERFORMANCE WITH PASCALE
This choreography we did it to the lyrics of the song. Everybody knows the song “Unfaithful” from Rhianna. We focused on having a choreography with passion, but yet, the close movement to represent the pain between the couple.
Comments always welcome!
I think it was very good between 0:10 and 0:30 the rythm and flow was like i never see you doit before cant say the same about the rest, those 20 seconds i liked it.
I am talking about the first video.
Firtly Juan…
Congrats on two superb perfromances…
As to which one I perferred….Hmmm, it’s a little too close to call
The first video, I felt the connection between the two of you was stronger and I enjoyed the song and the footwork more…and the turn patterns at the beginning were the slightly more impressive of the two…
But the second video was something that I thought had some sections that were very useful to me, as they’d be leadable in a Club, and the close hold movements had a little bite to them…
So as for which one I prefer…
If I was showing friends a superb Bachata video…I’d show them the first one…
But for something for me & my dance partner to learn and study from…I’d probably pick the second video..
Sorry, that doesnt give you a straight answer…
P.s. Would you mind if a nicked a couple of your turn-patterns from both videos?….I really liked them, and would like to use some of them socially with my dance partner!! 🙂

Hi Lee! Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I meant for both choreographies to look completely different with different flavour. So I’m glad that you were able to notice that.
Feel free to use the moves from the choreographies! And if you do, do create different variations and then send them to me! I love it when people from all over the world use my moves and then create different variations from them. It expands and grows the Bachata Moderna style
