With the mass commercialization and popularization of Bachata, The Bachateros Online Magazine is running a survey to discover how and what people think of Bachata.
This is an independent research, with no arterial motive other than to know more about Bachata. Also, this is an anonymous survey.
The results will help us see the future direction of Bachata for artists, musicians and dancers. The survey should not take more than 5 minutes to complete.
GRACIAS!

I answered the Survey, and while answering it I came across something I wasn’t aware of. I didn’t know there is a defining line between the different kinds of Bachata Music… You mentioned something about Urban music and gave Aventura and Xtreme as example, as oppose to Dominican music. Do you have any link to a place where I can read about the different kinds of Bachata music? I’ve always prefered dancing while listening to songs by bands like Aventura and Xtreme, as oppose to Dominican music which I only enjoy listening to, but don’t like to dance it (as I’m dancing Traditional style and not Dominican style).
Anyway, got a link to enrich my knowladge? 🙂
Hi Alon, thanks for completing the survey! we ALL going to learn so much from the results.
I borrowed the term “Urban Latin Bachata” from an article in “Reuters”

and to be honest, there’s no much “official” and “real” information about it, hence the survey 🙂
